Strawberry boba tea
Boba tea is a fun and exciting drink, but ultimately refreshing. It’s definitely that time of year for Boba tea. Give me strawberry Boba tea any day of the year and I would happily take it. As summer is approaching , I dare you to try making this refreshing drink at home but I must warn you it is addicting. The bonus here is how to read these pearls are once they’re cooked.
Prep time 5-7 minutes
Total Cook time 20 mins
Ingredients
2 cups Strawberries
1 cup Tapioca pearls
3 cups Whole milk
1 cup Sugar
2 cups Ice
I bought my tapioca pearls from my local Asian shop but you can also order them off of Amazon
Instructions
You need to make your strawberry syrup and boil your tapioca pearls
In a saucepan add 1 cup of strawberries, 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water on medium high heat to simmer down for 10 minutes
Keep stirring continuously until it turns into a sweet strawberry jam like syrup.
Next add half a cup of tapioca pearls into boiling water for 9 minutes, or according to package instructions
After pearls are cooked through, drain under cold water for 30 seconds to stop the cooking process
Add strained, tapioca pearls into a glass, top with some strawberry syrup, some fresh ice and 3 cups of whole milk
You can top with more strawberry syrup stir together and enjoy
Notes
Please use a big enough straw to prevent cloggage when sipping on pearls.
